COVID-19 Safety Practices At Railtown Catering

To Our Valued Clients,

Railtown Catering is dedicated to maintaining a high level safety during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. It is our priority to ensure the safety and health of our clients, friends and family. To that effect, we are taking various COVID-19 prevention measures in our kitchen and on event sites to ensure we are avoiding the spread of disease. These are just some of the steps taken to ensure the safety of our staff and clients.

 

For Our Staff

  • Our kitchens and offices are limited to essential staff as much as possible, and social distancing is enforced in all areas of our facility. Adjustments have been made to production schedules to reduce the overall amount of staff in the building at one time, and inter-departmental meetings are held virtually to contain departments within specific working bubbles.
  • Essential contractors/vendors are guided to drop off supplies at designated areas in our building, or outdoor meeting areas.
  • Employees are required to provide daily health assessments, conduct temperature checks at the start of each day, and wear a face mask in all areas of our work place, at all times.
  • Staff are guided on effective hygiene practices, social distancing and COVID-19 protocol for work and in their private lives outside of our facility.
  • Employees exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms are sent home immediately, asked to self-isolate, and are immediately sent for testing. They are unable to return to work until they have been cleared by their physician. Employees who live with other members of the public are advised to stay home if members of their household are unwell, and only return once the entire household has a clean bill of health.
  • We have increased cleaning and disinfecting of common areas, touchpoints, and work surfaces in our kitchen, office, staff areas, delivery equipment, and company vehicles.

For Our Clients

  • We have adapted our existing catering menu to available in an individually packaged format. Additionally, we have expanded our catering menu and have a wide range of individually packaged hot and cold meals.
  • We are committed to catering events safely, following any rules regarding indoor gatherings and recommended group sizes.
  • Our sales team stays up to date on the latest provincial health orders, and provides clients with guidance on how to design events that are safe, delicious and fun.

 

We are an industry that relies on social gathering and togetherness. While the current restrictions on events significantly affects our operations, we are grateful for the opportunity to work together and find ways to safely continue our craft. Thank you for your continued support.
