Alexa Gayton

Hospitality seems to come naturally for Alexa, who grew up with a family of great cooks, where large gatherings and impressive spreads were commonplace; evidently, event planning skills were instilled very early on in Alexa’s life. Alexa was born in Los Angeles and moved to Vancouver at a young age; she’s kept close ties to her birthplace, visiting frequently, and feels very fortunate to “call two amazing cities my home.”


“I have always felt that work shouldn’t feel like work; it should be exciting. This industry allows me to tap into my creativity and adapt to each situation with the skills I have acquired throughout my career,” explains Alexa. After graduating from the University of Arizona, she began working at the acclaimed Vancouver eatery Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar as a supervisor. As a creative and resourceful individual, Alexa has been wildly successful as an Associate Wedding and Event Planner with DreamGroup Productions.


Collaborative by nature, Alexa thrives in the team atmosphere at Railtown Cafe, where together, all departments ensure expectations are exceeded. Alexa is dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences, “I truly love what I do and have always found joy in creating a memorable experience for each client I work with. That’s what keeps me motivated and passionate about what I do each day,” she shares. Whatever a client’s vision is for an event, Alexa always finds new and unique ways to infuse current trends and surprises that contribute to a truly bespoke event.


As an avid traveller with an ever-hungry appetite to explore new cuisine, Alexa’s developed and discerning palate aids her in assisting clients develop unique menu offerings. She also credits her travel partner and chef husband for propelling her knowledge of food and fueling her curiosity.
